While Our Garden Project has an ambitious mission, it runs on a simple concept and simple systems: grow and encourage others to grow!
Grow for you, your family and friends, your community, your local pantries and mutual aid groups in that order, to help create better food security. At its simplest form we are just a movement to encourage you and others to build or join a network/community to grow gardens, grow more than you need to help those in and outside of your community.
We firmly believe that people should start where they can start, and we meet each other where they are, which is why the only requirement is to grow and give away. ❤️
Let’s work together to create communities that garden!

What does our network provide?
Shared resources, spaces and labor through community hosted sowing, maintenance, harvest, and canning/preserving parties to help people who are growing, build community and camaraderie, share knowledge, spread the burden of labor, and help the resources last longer and have a bigger impact. As well as access to Tool libraries, seed libraries, and educational classes on growing, harvesting and preserving your produce.
What does The Garden Project provide for registered gardens, gardeners and volunteers?
- We help gardeners to plan a garden that’s right for them; got an HOA to work around, want a food forest, permaculture, square foot gardening, hydroponics, aeroponics, traditional garden? We work with individuals to create gardens that work for them.

- We help with labour (through volunteers)
- We help connect growers with distributors
- We provide general knowledge and advice through experienced members.
- We host community events and get togethers
- We connect land/garden owners with labour
